Below, we’ve gathered the most common questions — and answers — about using our configurator.

Questions and answers about our configurator

How to measure?

Measure as precisely as you can — we'll handle the margins.

What matters most is that we get an accurate picture of: – The full width of your wall, so the pattern can flow properly across corners
– The exact position of windows, doors, and other elements — measured from the left edge of the wall
– The size of those elements, including any frames or trim

So don't add any extra margins — just measure as close to reality as possible.

We’ll make sure everything works in print and during installation.

Which one of my walls is wall #1?

Where you start measuring matters.

When using our configurator, your wallpaper panels will be numbered — which means it’s important to measure from the exact spot where you plan to start wallpapering.

In most cases, that’s from the edge of a wall. But sometimes it makes more sense to start from the edge of a window or another natural starting point.

No matter where you choose to start wall 1, a new wall always begins in a corner. That’s when you need to add a new wall in the configurator to keep the pattern flow correct.

The key thing to remember: Measure from where you’ll actually start wallpapering — even if that means your room ends up with five walls in the configurator because you started just after a window on wall 1.

Should I add my margin?

No, you shouldn’t add margins yourself.

Measure your walls, windows, and doors as precisely as possible — without adding any extra space.

We’ll make sure there’s enough margin in the print.
If your measurements are correct, we’ll take care of the rest.

For larger orders, we always include extra panels — just in case something goes wrong during installation.

How should I treat my corners of the room?

You'll wallpaper across the corner using a single panel, then trim it to fit.

When wallpapering around corners, it’s important to let the wallpaper wrap slightly around the corner with an overlap.
Otherwise, if the wall isn’t perfectly straight, you risk ending up with a visible gap.

We’ll prepare your panels so this works smoothly — but remember to always trim them with an overlap when installing.
