Privacy Policy
Your online security is important to us, and we want you as a customer to always feel that the handling of your personal data is in safe hands. We have therefore established this privacy policy to explain to you as a customer how we manage your personal data, for what purposes, and how you can influence the way it is handled.
How we collect your personal data
When you place an order through our website, you provide personal data such as your name, address, email, phone number, payment details, and personal identification number to us. If you choose "Invoice" as a payment method, we will share your identity information with our credit service provider and process information regarding whether credit is granted or not. We may also collect name and address information (from publicly available sources) related to you to verify that the personal data we have is accurate.
If you contact our customer service, we will process the information you provide us.
When you use our website, we also automatically collect a variety of information, such as the IP address used to connect your device to the internet, your login information, browser type and version, browser plug-ins and their versions, operating system and platform, your activity on our website (e.g., page interactions and products you have viewed), page response times, methods of leaving our website, and the phone number or email address used to contact our customer service.
We trust that the personal data you provide us is complete, accurate, and up to date. Please inform us as soon as possible of any changes or inaccuracies in your personal data by contacting support@linlava.com.
Do you have to provide personal data to Linlava?
You are not legally or contractually obligated to provide personal data to Linlava, but it is necessary to provide us with personal data for us to enter into an agreement with you for the provision of our services and products. If you do not provide the necessary personal data to us, we simply cannot enter into such agreements.
Why we process your personal data
Most of your data is processed for the purpose of fulfilling agreements with you for the purchase of the products we offer.
Some information about you is processed for us to fulfill our legal obligations, such as for our accounting and record-keeping obligations.
In other cases, we process personal data based on a so-called legitimate interest assessment. This means that we assess that our interests in processing your personal data are legitimate and that your interests do not outweigh them. We believe that our legitimate interests include marketing our own products and services, providing and improving our customer service, sharing your personal data with our agents and subcontractors (see below), ensuring the availability of our website and services, enabling tracking of any attacks on our website or IT equipment, detecting and preventing fraud, planning and developing our business, defending ourselves against or asserting legal claims, and demonstrating compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
More specifically regarding marketing, we use your personal data to deliver and personalize our communication with you. For example, we may contact you via email or other communication channels to update you on new products, promotions, or invite you to participate in a survey.
Security
Your personal data is stored with Amazon on Linlava's own web servers and Amazon's S3 storage service. All data is stored within Amazon’s data centers in the EU. All data transferred over the internet is protected using encryption.
Who we may share your data with
We never sell your data. However, your personal data may be forwarded to agents or subcontractors, both within and outside the EU/EEA, who perform services on our behalf, such as IT services, shipping of purchased products, and payment services.
Recipients handling personal data on behalf of Linlava (Linlava’s data processors) must always enter into a so-called data processing agreement with us to ensure that your data is managed in a correct and secure manner. When we use suppliers outside the EU/EEA who handle your personal data on our behalf, we take special protective measures. Such security measures may include ensuring that the supplier is affiliated with the Privacy Shield (www.privacyshield.gov/) or that we sign agreements that include the standardized model clauses for data transfer adopted by the European Commission, which are available on the European Commission’s website.
Your personal data may also be disclosed as permitted or required by applicable law, if ordered by a competent court or authority, or to ensure that we meet our legal obligations.
How long we will process your personal data
Linlava will store your personal data for as long as the data is needed for the purposes for which it is processed. Below are some examples of how long we store certain types of data:
- Your purchase history is stored for up to 7 years. If your profile is deleted during this time, we will anonymize the purchase history.
- Information about your contacts with our customer service is stored as long as the case is relevant.
- Information about you that is included in our accounting records is stored for the period required by accounting law (until the seventh year after the end of the calendar year in which the financial year ended).
- Data related to ongoing or potential legal claims may be stored until the matter is resolved or the claim is time-barred (i.e., up to ten years).
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction, or deletion of personal data, restriction of processing that concerns you, and to object to the processing of personal data. Personal data you have provided to Linlava can also be retrieved in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. You also have the right to transfer such data to another data controller and to request such a transfer directly from us where technically possible.
In cases where we process your personal data based on explicit consent from you, you have the right to withdraw such consent at any time. If consent is withdrawn, it does not affect the legality of our processing of personal data based on consent before it was withdrawn.
You also have the right to file a complaint regarding our processing of personal data with the Swedish Data Protection Authority. If you have further questions or would like more information about your rights, we recommend visiting the Swedish Data Protection Authority’s website.
Automated decision-making and profiling
Automated decision-making occurs through our credit service provider when you select “Invoice” as the payment method. In these cases, our provider performs a credit assessment based on standard credit information (e.g., assessed income, debt balance at the Swedish Enforcement Authority, payment defaults, etc.). If our provider determines that you should not be granted credit, we will not offer "Invoice" as a payment method, and you will be directed to other payment methods. If you have concerns about such automated decisions, you are welcome to contact us (see below for contact information) to receive an explanation and/or a review of the decision.
We process information about your use of our website and your purchases and may use this information to send offers and other information to you (so-called profiling). However, you always have the right to unsubscribe from direct marketing and object to profiling.
